The 9th running of the Downtown Denton Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024. This local favorite runs through the gorgeous TWU campus and the historic Downtown Denton Square. We have seen registration grow from 1500 our first year to 2400 in 2018.

USATF Certified Route
The 1k Gobble Wobble is open to kids 13 and under. Payment of $15 at registration covers a shirt and medal.
Kids (13 and under) can participate in the 5k walk/run for $20, amount will discounted automatically at checkout.
T-shirts are unisex, please register early to ensure you get one!

Packet Pickup
November 27
Packet pickup will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Race Day
7 a.m. Packet Pickup and Late Registration. The registration link will be live until 15 minutes before the race starts, and runners may register online or on a device and go directly to packet pickup rather than waiting in the registration line.
8:30 a.m. Kids Gobble Wobble begins at the start/finish
8:45 a.m. Corrals open. Please make sure you are in the correct corral!
8:55 a.m. National Anthem
9:00 am 5k begins | Please only runners wearing chip timed bibs on the 5k course | Stroller? No problem!
We are also collecting canned goods for the Denton Community Food Center. Donations will receive a raffle ticket, and the raffle will happen during the race. Winners will be posted by the DJ booth and will receive a gift basket. There will also be collections of dog food for the Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center.
